How does it feel like to be on the other side
While the lights stop and stare as time takes its bite
Flashes of white takes over as soldiers continue to fight
The battle is for all but all there is, is just the cold cold night
Bits and pieces are bleeding off the colorless wall
They melt away as winter turns back to fall
The target is locked but no one gets to throw the ball
It's an individual game and not all for one and one for all
When one step is too close and two steps are too apart
Hopeless it is, to cut a life out and expect a heart
The point can be achieved but the move ain't smart
Swords should be put away but hold on tight to that guard
The war is fought to earn the supposed freedom
A life that is free is like stepping into gods kingdom
No this ain't about pride nor it is about stardom
It's just the wilting rose of an idiom
