Sometimes, simplicity is just hidden beneath the pile of complications you decided to put upon.
Like those old clothes in your cupboard that's been there for years. When asked to dispose, you just can't fucking do it cause you think that you should keep it even though you know you would not wear those clothes no more. It's just, the unwanted gut feeling that you have when throwing away what's been there for so long. People are afraid of changes no matter big or small.
So I ask, if you keep those unattractive clothes for another 2,3,4 or maybe 10 years, will it magically do you any good? The style of those clothes will not change, the age of it will not change, the look you have wearing them will not change either. If it doesn't work anymore, throw it out, dispose it, recycle it, give it away, whatever it is as long as you let go. Maybe someone else would like it more than you do, maybe the recycled clothes can help sew someone else's torn clothes. You wouldn't know.
Also because of these old clothes, you over-use the ones that you love to wear so much and eventually wearing them out. While you're doing that, you shut away the chances of storing new and lovely ones into your wardrobe and also unable to let some of your favorite clothes take a breather so they don't wear out so quickly. Sooner or later, your whole wardrobe will be filled with worn out, over used clothing and you'd be left with nothing but yourself.
Letting go is never easy.
But it isn't that hard either.
